Privacy Policy

  • We collect only what's necessary to run the service.
  • We do not sell your data. Ever.
  • Your text is not used to train AI models.
  • You can delete your account and all data at any time.

1. Who We Are

CutTheFluff ("we", "us") is an AI-powered clarity tool for transforming unstructured writing into clear messages and tasks. We are based in Israel. Questions or requests about your privacy can be sent to support@cutthefluff.app.

2. What Data We Collect

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data only to:

  • Provide and improve the CutTheFluff service
  • Authenticate your account
  • Process payments and manage your subscription
  • Send transactional emails (signup confirmation, payment receipts)
  • Enforce usage limits and prevent abuse

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running the service.

5. AI & Your Content

When you submit text to CutTheFluff, it is sent securely to Anthropic's Claude AI for processing. We do not use your content to train AI models. We do not share your content with third parties for any purpose other than processing your request.

Anthropic's data handling policy applies to content processed by Claude. You can review it at anthropic.com/privacy.

6. Data Retention

Account data (name, email, usage count) is retained while your account is active and for 30 days after deletion.

History items you save are kept until you delete them or your account.

Voice and image data is never stored — it's processed in memory and discarded immediately after.

Session tokens expire after 7 days of inactivity.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@cutthefluff.app.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Israeli users are protected under the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 1981 and its regulations.

8. How to Delete Your Account & Data

You have full control over your data. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time using either of the following methods:

Option 1 — From within the app (instant)

  1. Sign in to your CutTheFluff account.
  2. Go to Settings (top-right menu).
  3. Scroll to the Account section.
  4. Click Delete Account and confirm.

This immediately and permanently deletes your account, all saved history, reminders, custom tones, session tokens, and payment records from our database. This action cannot be undone.

Option 2 — By email request

Email us at support@cutthefluff.app with the subject line "Delete my account" from the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 5 business days and confirm deletion by email.

Account data is retained for 30 days after deletion as a safety window, after which it is permanently purged from all our systems. Voice recordings and uploaded files are never stored — they are discarded immediately after processing.

9. Cookies

We use a single session cookie (session_token) to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. No third-party tracking scripts are loaded on our site.

10. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Session tokens are stored as secure, HTTP-only cookies. We do not store passwords. Payment data never passes through our servers — it is handled entirely by Paddle.

11. Children's Privacy

CutTheFluff is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete the data promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. The date at the top of this page always reflects when it was last updated.
