1. About CutTheFluff
CutTheFluff ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered writing clarity tool that transforms messy thoughts, rough notes, and unstructured text into polished messages and actionable task lists. The service is operated by ziv shivuk and yazamut under the brand name CutTheFluff, and is available at cutthefluff.app.
By accessing or using CutTheFluff, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Account Registration
Access to CutTheFluff requires creating an account using your email address and a password, or signing in with a Google account via Google OAuth. New accounts receive 10 free uses at sign-up — no credit card required. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your CutTheFluff account.
You must be at least 16 years old to use this service. By using CutTheFluff, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. Subscriptions, Billing & Payments
CutTheFluff offers a free plan and three paid subscription tiers: Starter ($9/month, 30 uses), Pro ($15/month, 60 uses), and Power ($24/month, 120 uses). Yearly plans are also available at a 17% discount. Additional use top-ups are available as one-time purchases for active subscribers.
Payments are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. By purchasing a subscription or top-up, you agree to Paddle's terms of service and privacy policy, available at paddle.com.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused days.
Top-up uses do not expire and carry over month to month.
4. Refunds
Refund eligibility depends on whether uses have been consumed and on your country of residence. In general, subscriptions and one-time use top-up packs purchased with unused uses are eligible for a full refund within the applicable statutory window (14 days for most countries). Once uses have been consumed, the digital service has been actively used and the right of withdrawal no longer applies, in accordance with Paddle's Buyer Refund Policy §2.2.4.
Refunds are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Technical defects are always eligible for a refund regardless of usage. For the complete refund rules, regional windows, and instructions on how to submit a request, see our Refund Policy.
5. Uses & Fair Use
Each account is allocated a monthly use allowance based on the subscribed plan: Free (10 lifetime uses), Starter (30 uses/month), Pro (60 uses/month), Power (120 uses/month). Each "Plan It" click consumes exactly 1 use, regardless of input length or type. Uses reset monthly on your billing anniversary date. Free plan uses never expire.
You may not use CutTheFluff to process content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or violates any applicable law. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the service or attempt to circumvent usage limits.
Input text is limited to 15,000 words per request. Voice recordings are limited to 10 minutes per session.
6. Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of the text you submit to CutTheFluff. The output produced by the AI is provided to you for your use with no restrictions.
The CutTheFluff name, logo, product design, and source code are proprietary and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without explicit written permission.
7. AI & Data Usage
Your input text is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI model for processing. We do not use your text to train AI models. Your saved library is private to your account and is not shared with any third party for advertising or analytics purposes.
Voice recordings are transcribed using OpenAI Whisper and are not stored after transcription. Uploaded images are processed by Anthropic Claude and are not stored.
8. Service Availability
We aim to keep CutTheFluff available 24/7, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors outside our control (such as third-party AI provider outages).
We are not liable for any loss caused by temporary unavailability of the service.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms of Service. You may stop using the service and cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CutTheFluff is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or errors in AI-generated output.
Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Tel Aviv, Israel.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of CutTheFluff after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
